The Review: Sleep Deprivation and Alcohol

INGREDIENTS:
energy drinks
lack of sleep
beer

Most people don't know that sleep deprivation has antidepressant effects. This is a scientific fact, and I have confirmed it through personal tests.

For the last two Fridays my friend and I have met up around 10 p.m. and binged on energy drinks while playing computer games.

When we hit the 20-hours-awake mark is when the fun starts, because "the stupids" set in.

Now, "the stupids" might not be a scientific term but let me assure you it exists. There is a point when you're so tired you don't feel like you need to sleep. You also start giggling because everything seems obscenely funny.

Add alcohol into that mix: you're over-tired, giggling and drunk. Suddenly it seems OK to blast techno music at 7 a.m. as I lay on the floor making dinosaur noises.

THE VERDICT:

Do it. It is fun.

Just remember that you will be burned out for at least one day afterwards.
